How to get there?
Cañadón Pinturas Portal: Located on RN 40, about 55 km south of the town of Perito Moreno. It is the most popular access.
La Ascensión Portal: Situated on RP 43, 17 km from the town of Los Antiguos, on the shores of Lake Buenos Aires

Car
There exist services that connect the cities of Perito Moreno and Los Antiguos. From there one must contract a private transfer or excursion.
By
Bus
flights to Comodoro Rivadavia or El Calafate, then ground transfer from these airports.

The walks

The nature

Flora

The vegetation is typical of the Patagonian Steppe, adapted to extreme cold and constant wind.

Main species: Predominates the Coirón, the Neneo, and the Calafate. In the canyons there are more protected species like molles.

Fauna

The park was created especially to protect the Hooded Grebe (Macá Tobiano), an endemic bird in critical danger of extinction.

Mammals: It is one of the best places to see large herds of guanacos, choiques, grey and colored foxes. Also there is presence of pumas.

Birds: Andean condors, mora eagles, and southern flamingos.
