The nature

Flora

The vegetation is stunted and resistant to the constant wind of the steppe.
Main species: Predominates the Coirón (yellowish grassland), the Duraznillo, the Neneo, and the Molle.
Adaptation: Many plants have thorns or very deep roots to survive the lack of water and the extreme cold of the winter.

Fauna

Birds: It is the great attraction. Besides the Black-necked Swan, you will see pink flamingos, ducks, choiques (lesser rheas), and the majestic Andean condor.
Mammals: Pumas, grey and colored foxes, piches (armadillos), and a large colony of viscachas in the stone areas.
Unique species: The Patagonian Frog (Atelognathus patagonicus), an endemic and protected species that inhabits the lagoons of the area.
