Open only in summer season: from October to mid-April, between 09:00 and 18:00



The vegetation is scarce and almost exclusive to areas free of bird colonies, where small meadows of grasses, mosses and lichens develop. Most of the island is dominated by rocks and bare soil, reflecting the cold, windy climate and eroded soil on the shores of the Strait of Magellan
The island is home to one of the world's largest colonies of Magellanic penguins, with nearly 60,000 breeding pairs returning each year between September and March.
They also nest Imperial cormorants, Southern seagulls and Dominican seagulls, while on the islets they reproduce Sea lions One-haired and two-haired Along the sea that surrounds the island it is possible to see Petrels, dolphins and, in some cases, tonines.
