The nature

Flora

The Hornopirén National Park protects extensive temperate rainforests, dominated by Millenary larches(some over 3,000 years old). They are also found Coigüe de Chiloé, Tepa, Ulm, Mañío and, in high areas, Lenga and Guaitecas cypress. The undergrowth is covered with ferns, mosses, lichens, and in spring they bloom Caulks, Michays and native orchids. The wetland sectors are home to reeds and aquatic vegetation.

Fauna

The park is home to close to 25 mammal species, like the Puma, the little Pudú, Foxes scream and blame, Güiña, Copypus, Chungungo And the rare Monito del Monte. There is also the presence of American mink.More than have been registered 120 species of birds, including Andean condor, Black carpenter, Quetru, Black-necked swan, Bandurria and variety of forest birds. It is an excellent place for sighting, especially between October and March.
