Expeditions are usually carried out in the southern summer months (November to March), when weather conditions are more favorable.
Visits must be coordinated with the authorities of the Tierra del Fuego National Park or with specialized operators.




The landscape is dominated by crayons, hard grasses and black forest.
Carob trees, caldenes and molles grow in the mountains. In spring, the steppe is covered with wild flowers that contrast with the reddish soil and rock formations.
The vegetation is adapted to drought and withstands extreme temperatures.
The park protects a representative sample of the fauna of the Pampas steppe and mountain ranges.
The guanaco, the puma and the gray fox stand out. Among the birds you can see the moray eagle, the Peregrine falcon, the rye and different species of small birds.
They also inhabit vizcachas, armadillos and reptiles adapted to the arid climate.
